Régis AUBRY Is a French expert on Palliative and end-of-life care, medical ethics and decision-making in a context of uncertainty. He works also with ethical issues in geriatric medicine. He is the Head of the ‘Autonomy and disability’ division at the University Hospital of Besancon. He is also the head of the geriatric medicine unit and palliative medicine Department. He is member of the Integrative and Clinical Neuroscience Laboratory (EA 481, Dir. Prof Emmanuel Haffen) and associated member of the “Logics of action” laboratory EA 2274 at the University of Franche-Comté. He is the head of the research team “Ethics of medical progress” at the CIC 1431 INSERM. He coordinated the “research and higher education” work package of the 2016–2018 national strategy for the development of palliative care. He is current member of the French National Ethics Committee (CCNE). He is the President of the French Platform for End-of-Life Research.
